Workshops & Classes

Anna offers workshops for adults and children with fired or unfired clay and has worked in a wide range of settings, from summer playschemes to garden festivals, for town council events to hen-dos, from scout groups to schools, and within wellbeing and women’s circles.

TRADITIONAL FIRED CLAY – Work is created and fired to be made permanent. Over one or two sessions with time allowed for drying in-between, with a number of decorative techniques to choose from. The transformative properties of clay are revealed as it changes state.

WILD CLAY PLAY – Work is made from unfired clay in an outdoor environment with the addition of found objects from nature. Increasing an appreciation of the natural world and understanding of clay as a part of it. As a semi-permanent work, it will eventually return to the earth.

CREATIVE CLAY CLASSES – Anna has run her popular Creative Clay Classes for nearly 4 years at Malvern Cube, weekly on Friday mornings. The small supportive group has just 10 spaces, with many returning each term and new people joining when spaces become available. Creations are made from clay using various hand-building methods. Ideas and guidance is given for those that need it, but there is also space for self-directed creations. Classes are for adults of all abilities. The class will be moving to the new studio space in the heart of Malvern from November. There are plans to add an evening class in the New Year. Email to enquire if there are places available.

MIXED MEDIA ART CLASSES & WORKSHOPS – Anna also offers mixed media art classes & workshops creating seasonal wreaths from cardboard & collage, paints & natural objects or simple notebooks inspired by nature and the changing seasons.
