About

Hi, I’m Anna – a ceramic & mixed media artist and workshop facilitator. I have lived nestled beneath the Malvern Hills for most of my life and this area of natural beauty continues to inspire me. My love of clay and all things wild can be traced back to my childhood; days spent digging clay from the stream at the bottom of the garden and firing creations on an open fire. Fast forward a few years and you can still find me encouraging others to find inspiration in the natural world and express their creativity through clay and other media.

I began my creative career with over 9 years experience as an Art Technician at Malvern Girls’ College (now Malvern St. James) and then a Ceramics technician at Malvern College, and a few years as a self-employed face painter known as ‘The Face Paint Fairy!’ Once I became a mother, that was my sole purpose for the pre-school years… I then became a mature student and graduated from the University of Worcester with a BA in Fine Art Practice in 2012. Since then I have delivered many workshops within educational and community settings, alongside my own working practice as an artist.

My own work is informed by the seasons turning through the wheel of the year and walking in my local landscape and beyond. I have recently moved to a new studio in the heart of Malvern, after teaching my popular ‘Creative Clay Classes’ at the Cube for 4 years. These are for adults of all abilities and have now moved to the new studio from November 2025. I also teach a weekly mixed media art class for adults with learning difficulties at Malvern Theatres, known as Make Your Mark Xtra.
